Pronounced “Razor” The Adventure Group is changing the Whistler Activity game. They are officially the most thrilling way to explore the backcountry trails and old growth forests of Cougar Mountain.

More Summer Activity News :: Whistler gets a record breaking zipline
Ziptrek Ecotours, voted Best Adventure Tour and Best Customer Service in Pique Magazine’s Best of Whistler 2014, is building a record breaking zipline. The new 2km zipline will be the longest in both Canada and the US.
The zipline, set to open in mid-July, will start at Blackcomb mountain and go all the way to Whistler, similar to the world-record breaking Peak2Peak gondola. For those able to enjoy the view, the results will be spectacular. For the rest of us, it’ll be a thrill-seekers nirvana. Think about it: You’re following the path of the Peak2Peak gondola, flying between the two peaks of Blackcomb and Whistler mountains, but on a zipline.

New Whistler Restaurants
Pizzeria Antico Restaurant
The new Pizzeria Antico restaurant has opened in Whistler village and they’re cooking up some fine tasting thin crust style pizza. Located in what was formerly the Bavaria restaurant, the very central restaurant location is bright, warm and filled with the smell of fresh cooking that is being enjoyed by local residents along with visitors to the resort.
The Neapolitan style of the Pizzeria Antico has been well received and has added some additional variety to the already large selection of restaurants available in Whistler village. This is definitely one of the casual dining restaurants you will want to try when visiting Whistler village.
Oh ya, and they have Dessert!!

Basalt Wine and Salumeria
Set to open this summer in Whistler the Basalt Wine and Salumeria, the concept for this new restaurant, going into the former location of The Mix by Ric’s, centres on the idea of an old-school salumeria — except with a touch of the contemporary thrown in.
The chef and owner Eric Gilchrist tells Pique Magazine his vision for the new Whistler Restaurant:
“My vision for that is you’re staying in the village or you’ve been here for a little while, and maybe you don’t want to go out tonight. But you can come and pick one of these up or call ahead… and we can have it ready,” Gilchrist says. “I want to bring the ploughman’s lunch back to the table. They’ll probably arm-wrestle over whether that’s English or Irish (in origin), but it’s that idea of sitting in a field and tearing up bread with some beautiful olive oil, cheese and cured meats. Everybody has a glass of wine and you relax, and that’s what our vision is: rustic yet refined.”
